Moving further, our next stop would be the Chartwell House, family home of Winston Churchill for over 40 years till his death. These underground bunkers are best known for the 6 years when they served as official meeting place of the WWII War Cabinet as headed by Winston Churchill. It was these rooms from where Sir Churchill directed the course of war & led Allies to victory. The war rooms were functional for 24 hours every day till the time WWII finally ended in year 1945.
