No tour of
London would be complete without a visit to Queen’s residence & Royal
Palaces. Our professional driver guide will meet you at around 0900 am at your
hotel lobby & escort you to your private luxury air-conditioned vehicle
which is at disposal for the day.
We will
start our journey from Buckingham Palace where we have enough time to enjoy Changing
of Guards Ceremony.
Also known
as Guard Mounting, the Changing of Guards is a ceremony that marks as the
handover of the duties of protecting the Buckingham Palace & the St. James
Palace of current Queen’s Guards / Old Guards to the New Guards marching all
the way from Wellington Barracks. This is accompanied by official British
Military Bands playing a wide variety of Music ranging from traditional to pop.
This will be
followed by visit to Kensington Palace.
Birth place
of Queen Victoria, the palace is a treat to the eyes & an epitome of Victorian
architecture, which is prominently visible throughout the Palace with original
furniture & family portraits. The royal residence is currently the home of Duke
& Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. See the Diana’s fashion story as
the unique exhibition showcases the clothing collection that made Princess
Diana, a fashion icon. If you are looking for an escape from the busy palace
corridors & want to unwind in the vicinity of a botanical paradise then
White Garden is the perfect location for you.
After this, we
will head towards Windsor Castle. A short walk through the picturesque town
will lead you to the famous Castle which proudly perches on a lush wooded hill
overlooking the Thames River. Windsor Castle owns the Queen’s heart & has
served as a royal home for over 900 years and is considered as one of England’s
finest artworks. Explore the State apartments which are lavishly decorated,
boosting ornate weaponry & priceless works of art, ranging from intricate
pieces by Leonardo da Vinci & Rembrandt. Do not miss on Queen Mary’s
intricate Dollhouse, a truly jaw-dropping structure complete with running
water, working lifts, fully functional kitchen, wine bottles & crown jewels
but in miniature form. St. George’s Chapel here is the final resting place of
the Queen Mother, as well as Henry VIII and his most-loved wife Jane Seymour.
